Same ride as last week, but felt like a different world. Last week I was pulled up Renner, today, I pulled up Renner! What a difference a week makes. Great group of riders (22 split into two groups at the beginning of ride) led by Jerry and swept by Warren.

First group ride in months. First B Squared ride with Stephan as ride leader. Terrific group of people that looked out for me. I really appreciate it! Thanks Stephan for staying back with me at the end and Chris and Warren for great conversation. So much less stressful with my man with me. Thanks for the assist up Renner. Expected a slower pace, but was able to hang on. Have a long way to go, but am seeing progress.

Had some Inspiration today, so I rode the B2 and commuted up there to get some extra miles. First time on this ride. Stephan, the leader of our half of the group did a fine job. I think today's ride may have been a bit faster than advertised. I hope I was not part of the reason. Otherwise, it was a fun ride with some folks I hadn't ridden with before. And if I may say, there are a lot of folks on these easier rides that can hang with faster groups. Thanks Jerry & Stephan.

This was the last B Squared ride that Amanda led. After 2 years in the Leader role she has hung up her spurs and will be enjoying herself on rides where she can enjoy just riding. THANK YOU Amanda! You were an amazing leader and kept most skaliwags (sp?)in line on your rides. You will be missed as well as appreciated! Today's ride was bigger than usual with a few faster folks joining us as a result of Tweeners being on a field trip today.

So when I got to the ride, I allowed as to how the wind was pretty strong, and we probably didn't want to have to come home from the south on Indy. So I suggested an alternate route. My twelve riders were open for something new, so off we went. I took them the normal way to Allen, all the way to the first rest stop. There was a little grumbling when we turned north by the skate park and I announced a "sprint" zone. My group put on a good show, even so. From the rest stop, we weaved our way north again, and headed to Forest Grove, only my favorite road in Collin county. I joked that though I may not be going fast, I would be working hard, and I didn't let up until the stop sign. I then lead the group back to the round-about neighborhood, and they seemed to enjoy the smooth pavement and lovely landscaping. We took another short break at a park, then went on the old Celebration loop. My strong guys had been chaffing at the bit for a sprint with a tail wind, so I obliged. The route home, while not easy, was quite nice with a tail wind pushing us up the hills. It's nice to know I have something else to do when the winds are coming from the north!

Really enjoyed taking another route today. Smart idea by Amanda to head to Celebration then do loops toward old Stacey and the newly repaved road out from the park. Nice group and good team effort. Thanks to Amanda for leading and Heather for sweeping!

Nice, small group led by Heather since Amanda is off the bike for a short time. Everyone worked together really well and helped share in the effort. Got tired the last 10 miles, possibly because we started 30 minutes later and the heat had a chance to build.

After the shower passed, I had three other brave souls join me on a ride, planning to take the normal route. When we passed Step up, two more jumped on. The roads got progressively wetter as we neared Allen, and the rain came... When Tweeners passed us, we lost one rider to them. I was being cautious in Allen, the rain got harder. We stopped at the first rest stop, and I brought out the radar, figuring I could find a different route out of the heavy rain. It looked like it was going our way, so I chose to take us back from whence we came with an option to add more later. I took three people, more had chosen to join Tweeners (guess my caution was too slow for them). We were out of the rain in west Allen, Exchange was drying, and Ridgeview was relatively dry. We got to Coit, and two of my riders were ready to go home. They knew the way, so I took my friend Richard up to Rolator for a romp. We took Hillcrest into the wind, and were happy to be on dry roads as we tooled back to the start. I had fun, and we had a safe ride.

The storms last night did a number on the temps for the day, and it was really lovely. Had about 6 people, all friends, show for the ride and we had a great time. Good pace most of the ride, even into the wind and I'm pleased with the trip down Dublin. Thanks, Heather, for helping lead another successful ride!

Headed out Ridgeview, and really felt like I was struggling to keep it together with the head wind from the east. I looked over my shoulder and saw most riders keeping up, but some struggling. I spoke to Andy about making sure we kept it together, and we did. I always worry about climbing in front, I know most of my riders are stronger up hills than I am, but when I see that others are struggling, I will back off. The trip down Dublin was wonderful, and all three exotic critters were out. It's wonderful to have a camel, a Brahma cow and a mini horse to look forward to at the end of the sprint. We stayed together most of Renner, even after 75, so I felt pretty good as we pulled in to the last break. It was a good ride overall, and the weather was great!

Started out with 8 riders, and had a strong start on the hills of Ridgeview. I was pleased with my strength after my mishap on the mountain bike, there was pain, but the legs felt fine. We rode well together, and stayed together most of the ride until Renner. A couple of riders fell behind, and they had a flat, so the rest of us waited for them at the Starbucks. We left together and made it home together. It was a good ride!

Had a reasonable sized group as we rolled out of the lot. I felt stronger than I have in a while, which was nice given the expected heat. I climbed hills well today, and we ended up with a strong pace heading out. I enjoyed playing with Natalie on the first leg of Dublin, as we traded places leading the group to the stop sign. The camel, Brahma cow and mini donkey were out. Renner was a little slow, but we were all tired by then. The heat started to take its toll, but we all made it to Custer, and after a break, we headed home. Great ride! Thanks again to all who pulled and Heather, my fantastic sweep!
