Novice Riders

The forecast looks pretty iffy for tomorrow. However, I am ever hopeful!

We have created a new rain route which will keep us closer to the start so that if we do need to cut the ride short, we will be able to do so. We can also modify the second half of the route to accommodate a smaller group. I will adjust the route depending on the size of the group.

The inspiration for the new route is Sam Montag -- who showed us how to use the Bluebonnet Trail to get back to Ohio one rainy day last summer. If we like it -- we may need to rename it the Novice 20 Sam RR!

Novice 20 RR

🕗 Rollout at 8:00 AM, be at the parking lot by 7:45 AM for check-in and a quick pre-ride chat.

A few quick reminders:

  • Please make sure you’re registered online for all PBA rides.
  • Do your ABC check (Air, Brakes, Chain) before we roll out.
  • New parking area at Gulledge — it’s right next to the old one, but only about 20 spots, so come a little early if you can. Overflow parking’s still available in the old lot.

This week’s route:

About 20 miles with a short break halfway through. We’ll keep our usual Novice pace (11–12 mph) and, as always, no one gets left behind! 🚴‍♂️💨
