As of Thursday AM, weather for 7 AM -11 AM Saturday, May 30 looks good -- predicted temps are mid 70s to high 80s deg F, 6 - 7 mph S winds (no gusting predicted), 1/3 cloud cover, only a 2% chance of rain. There will be some humidity, so hydrate on Thursday and Friday to handle the conditions which at this time none of us are climatized to yet.
The ride will start from the Gulledge Elementary Parking Lot. Remember helmet, gloves, water and flat repair kit. Please check air, brakes, and chain prior to riding. Please be ready to go at 7:15 AM at the start area for attendance taking and the normal ride safety briefing so we can start on time at 7:30 AM. Step-Up is a no-drop ride that keeps the group together going at a rolling average of 13 to 14.5 mph average over the 30+ mile distance of the ride. Rolling speed uphill might be as low as 9 mph, on descent might be as high as 25 mph, and on flat sections anywhere from 14 - 18 mph at any one time.
The route for May 30th is the route last used on March 21st (and a slight revision to the Gary Croll original route used by Step Up on March 14th.

This is a 33.6 mile route with one rest stop at 18.7 miles. The button will open up the Ride with GPS webpage for the
“Step Up 3/21” ride (I was unable to change the name to the one I prefer which is the button text above — it’s the same ride. If you download it to your Garmin or other device it will have the “Step Up 3/21” name.)
