Traffic Skills 101 (TS101)

Traffic Skills 101 (TS101) is a fast-paced class that will give you the confidence to ride safely and legally in traffic or on the trail. You will learn how to conduct bicycle safety checks, fix a flat, on-bike skills and crash avoidance techniques. We recommended this class for adults and children above age thirteen. The classroom portion is completed online at www.bikeed.org prior to the class. You should expect to spend 1.5 – 2 hours doing this. The skills and riding portion will take 2.5 – 4 hours.

Who: All aged over 17 are welcome. You must know how to ride a bike

What to bring: Bike in good working order, repair kit, helmet, lawn chair, and full water bottles

Time: Starts at 9 am sharp for 2.5 to 3.5 hours

Format: Approximately 1-1.5 hours of classroom discussion followed by approximately 1.5-2.0 hours of outdoor bike-work
